The solid-state contactors comprise a solid-state relay plus optimized heat sink and are therefore “ready-to-use”. Depending on the design, currents up to 88 A are reached. Like all our solid-state switching devices, they also boast an impressively compact and space-saving design. The insulated mounting foot means they are simply snapped onto DIN mounting rails or mounted onto supporting plates using fixing screws. This insulation permits their use in switching circuits with protective or functional extra-low voltages as used in building service management systems.
If required for other applications, e.g. for extended personnel protection, the heat sink can also be grounded by means of a screw terminal. In order to ensure an optimized control process for different loads, our solid-state contactors are available in a range of versions. The optimum process for resistive loads has proven to be zero switching; however, the instantaneous switching process is better suited for slightly inductive loads.

The 3-phase zero-point switching solid-state contactors are especially used for 3-phase applications. With just five versions, they cover the current range from 10 to 50 A, and are available as 2- and 3-phase controlled versions. The 2-phase controlled version distinguishes itself as a result of having the lowest power loss; the 3-phase version can be used when all three phases must be switched in operation. The wide control voltage range from 4 to 30 V facilitates operation in digital controls (PLCs) or simple temperature regulators.
