HV Series H Modyn, H-modyn is the high-voltage induction and synchronous motor platform for power ratings extending up into the double-digit megawatt range. As a result of its modular concept, H-modyn can be adapted very flexible to the particular application. As 80 % of the components are standard components, the spare parts logistics for motors of this power class are unusually simple and straightforward. The rugged design makes H-modyn extremely reliable requiring little maintenance. The use of center-flange sleeve bearings means that H-modyn motors are especially short relating to their power ratings – and the horizontally arranged cooler significantly reduces the motor height. The result: Low space requirement, simple installation and mounting as well as a low crane hook height. For induction motors, the H-modyn platform extends up to 38 MW – and for synchronous motors, up to 50 MW. Even higher power ratings – extending up to over 100 MW – can be realized as special production.
